What's new in Neulee Snap

Boards — a private, local-first way to organize what you capture. No sign-up, no cloud, no account.

• Hover any image → click the new bookmark icon on the chip → pick an existing board or type a name to create one on the fly.
• Your boards appear in the toolbar popup with a running count of what's in each.
• Everything stays on your device — image bytes never leave your browser. Board names sync across your signed-in Chromes automatically.
• Coming next: a browseable grid view inside each board, search across captured text, AI auto-tagging, and JSON export.

Boards is part of Pro ($20 one-time) alongside Live Text.

Fixed false positives on the "This site blocks image saving" prompt.

• X and similar sites were being incorrectly flagged as blocking image saving when they actually don't. The detection was giving too much weight to weak signals like draggable="false".
• Now only strong signals — invisible overlays over images, or CSS that makes images non-interactive — trigger the green "blocked" prompt.

You can now add Neulee Snap to any website. Not just Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — click the icon on any page and enable the hover chip right there.

• The popup does a quick scan of the page when you open it on an unsupported site. If it detects the site is blocking image saving, you get a green "This site blocks image saving" prompt with a one-click Enable button.
• If the site looks open, you'll see a neutral "Enable anyway" option instead — sometimes you just want the chip on a favorite site.
• Chrome asks permission for that specific hostname only. Neulee Snap never requests access to "all sites."

• Better recovery from extension updates. If you saw a cryptic "Extension context invalidated" toast, you now get a friendly Refresh this page message with a one-click Reload button.
• Animated frame no longer wraps the entire post modal on Instagram. Instagram uses a blurred backdrop image behind the modal that our overlay was accidentally selecting instead of the actual post image.

• Text button now respects your API-key setup. If you don't have a Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI key configured, the Text button no longer appears — clicking it could only ever produce an error.

• Chip no longer runs on X, Threads, or Reddit. Those sites don't block image saving the way Instagram and TikTok do. Neulee Snap now activates only on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest by default.
• Per-site controls in the toolbar popup — snooze 1 hour, until tomorrow, or turn off on a site entirely.
• Live Text (Select) button hidden entirely for free users. The chip now shows only Text / Copy / Save unless you're on Pro.
• Frame no longer jumps on videos. Reels, TikTok clips, and native videos are excluded from hover detection.

• Rebrand: Capture This → Neulee Snap. The first app under the Neulee brand.
• Live Text (Pro) — select and copy text directly off any image, on-device, no API key required.
• Pro tier introduced — $20 one-time unlock: Live Text, unlimited capture history, and more coming.
