Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Neulee Snap browser extension (“Neulee Snap,” the “Extension,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Freetage Labs, LLC, handles information when you use it. By installing or using the Extension, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Neulee Snap is a product of Freetage Labs, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. You can reach us at support@neulee.app.
2. Information the Extension handles
API keys you provide
To use cloud-based text extraction, you may enter your own API key for a third-party AI
provider (Google Gemini, Anthropic, or OpenAI). Keys are stored in your browser’s
chrome.storage.sync storage, which keeps them in your browser (and synced across
your own signed-in Chrome sessions). Your keys are never transmitted to Freetage Labs
and are sent only to the provider you selected when you trigger a cloud extraction.
Images and cloud text extraction
When you use the cloud “Text” action, the selected image is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configured, using your own API key, so the provider can return the text. We do not receive, see, or store these images or the extracted text. That transmission is governed by your chosen provider’s privacy policy (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI).
Live Text and on-device OCR (Pro)
The Pro “Live Text” feature and local text extraction run entirely on your device using bundled, offline OCR software. The image and the recognized text never leave your computer and are not sent to us or to any third party.
Recent captures
A short history of your recent captures is stored locally in your browser
(chrome.storage.local) so you can re-copy them. This data stays on your device, is
not transmitted to us, and can be cleared anytime from the extension popup or by uninstalling.
Downloads and clipboard
Saving an image or copying it to your clipboard is performed locally by your browser. We do not receive copies of downloaded or copied content.
3. Purchases and Pro licensing
Pro is a one-time purchase processed by our payment partner ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you purchase Pro, ExtensionPay and Stripe collect and process your email address and payment information to handle the transaction and manage your license. We never receive or store your full payment-card details. Freetage Labs receives confirmation of your paid status and the email associated with your purchase, solely to provide and support your license. Their handling of your data is governed by the ExtensionPay Privacy Policy and the Stripe Privacy Policy.
4. What we do not do
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies in the Extension.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information.
- We do not operate servers that receive your images, extracted text, or browsing activity.
5. Permissions and why we request them
- Storage — to save your settings, API keys, and recent captures in your browser.
- Downloads — to save images you choose to download.
- Clipboard — to copy images or text when you ask.
- Offscreen — to run on-device OCR for Live Text.
- Site access (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, X, Threads, Reddit and their image hosts) — so the capture chip can appear and act on images you hover.
- AI provider and ExtensionPay domains — to send cloud-OCR requests with your key, and to verify your Pro license.
6. Your choices and rights
You can remove your API keys and clear your recent captures from the extension’s settings and popup at any time. Uninstalling the Extension removes its locally stored data from that browser. To request information about, or deletion of, the limited purchase data associated with your license, email support@neulee.app.
7. Children
Neulee Snap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, noted in the Extension.
